How VoiceLink Works
A step-by-step guide to opening the door, tracking the opportunity, and earning when it books.
Open the door. Earn when it books.
VoiceLink is a private referral platform for trusted connectors. The process is simple: you identify a qualified speaking opportunity, submit it through VoiceLink, make the initial warm introduction, and then VoiceLink handles the rest.
This is not cold outreach. This is not affiliate marketing. VoiceLink works because trusted people make trusted introductions.
The VoiceLink Roadmap
Identify a Qualified Opportunity
A qualified opportunity is a real speaking opportunity with an expected budget of $5,000 or more. It may come from a company, school, district, conference, healthcare organization, church, nonprofit, sports organization, leadership retreat, college, university, chamber, or event planner.
Examples of qualified opportunities:
- • A company planning a leadership retreat
- • A principal looking for a student mental health speaker
- • A healthcare organization hosting a team event
- • A conference needing a keynote speaker
- • A nonprofit planning a community summit
- • A church or ministry hosting a leadership gathering
- • A college or athletic department needing a mindset speaker
Qualification Checklist:
- ✓ Real organization
- ✓ Real event or initiative
- ✓ Expected budget of $5,000+
- ✓ Clear decision-maker or event contact
- ✓ Connector has enough relationship to make an introduction
Submit the Referral Through VoiceLink
Before making the introduction, the connector submits the referral through VoiceLink so the opportunity can be properly tracked.
Why submit first?
This protects the connector's credit. It creates a record of who submitted the opportunity, when it was submitted, who the contact is, what organization it belongs to, the estimated budget, and how the connector plans to make the introduction.
Make the Initial Warm Introduction
This is the most important step. After submitting the referral, the connector must make the first introduction and include Andre Fluellen / Beyond the Game Impact in the conversation.
The Core Principle:
BTG Impact should not be reaching out as a random company. The connector's relationship is what makes the opportunity warm.
The connector can introduce by:
BTG Responds Inside the Warm Thread
Once the connector makes the introduction, Andre Fluellen or BTG Impact responds inside that conversation. This turns the opportunity from a cold lead into a warm conversation.
Example flow: The connector sends the intro, includes both parties, and says: "I'll let you both take it from here." Then BTG Impact continues the conversation.
VoiceLink Handles the Conversation
VoiceLink handles the next steps:
- • Responding to the contact
- • Understanding the event
- • Asking about goals, audience, date, location, and budget
- • Scheduling a call
- • Recommending the right speaking format
- • Answering questions
- • Sending materials if needed
The connector does not need to manage this part.
Proposal, Contract, and Booking
If the opportunity is a fit, VoiceLink handles:
- • Proposal
- • Pricing
- • Scope of work
- • Contract
- • Invoice
- • Travel details if needed
- • Event preparation
Event Delivery and Client Payment
Andre Fluellen or Beyond the Game Impact delivers the speaking engagement. Once the client pays BTG Impact, the referral commission becomes eligible for payout.
Connector Gets Paid
When the client payment is received and the booking is confirmed as eligible, the connector earns 15% of the speaker fee.
Commission Examples:
- • $5,000 booking = $750 commission
- • $10,000 booking = $1,500 commission
- • $20,000 booking = $3,000 commission
- • $50,000 booking = $7,500 commission
Commission is paid only on the speaker fee, not on travel reimbursements, hotel, flights, meals, production costs, or other pass-through expenses.
What Counts as a Warm Introduction?
A warm introduction means the connector personally connects Andre Fluellen or Beyond the Game Impact to the decision-maker or event contact.

The connector emails the contact and CCs Andre or BTG Impact.
Text Introduction
The connector texts the contact first, asks for permission, then creates a group text or sends contact information after approval.

The connector sends a message connecting both parties or introduces Andre in an existing LinkedIn conversation.
Phone Introduction
The connector calls the contact, mentions Andre / BTG Impact, and helps create the first conversation.
In-Person Introduction

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to sell the speaking engagement?
No. Your role is to open the door with a warm introduction. VoiceLink handles the follow-up, proposal, contract, and delivery.
Can I just submit a name?
No. A name alone is not a complete VoiceLink referral. The value of VoiceLink is the warm introduction.
What if I do not know the budget?
You can still submit the opportunity if you believe it is serious and likely has a budget of $5,000 or more.
When do I get paid?
You get paid after the referred opportunity becomes a booked engagement and the client pays BTG Impact.
How much do I earn?
VoiceLink connectors earn 15% of the speaker fee.
What if two people refer the same organization?
The first valid connector attached to the opportunity receives credit. A valid referral must be submitted through VoiceLink and include or assist with the warm introduction.
Can I refer local events?
Yes. VoiceLink is designed for qualified opportunities with expected budgets of $5,000 or more, including strong local opportunities.
Do I stay involved after the introduction?
Usually no. Once you make the warm introduction, BTG Impact takes it from there. You may be asked for additional context if needed.
